Gratitude for.. The DRAMA…..

HIGH TOPS. Because when your corny A$$ Dad arrives at the “high top” table you have reserved for dinner, he approaches it saying…”Hi…Top.
And unfortunately you cannot help but….LAUGH YO’ A$$ OFF..!!

GIN GIBSON. Because nothing is more satisfying  then when your bad-A$$ Dad orders a drink which BEFUDDLES both the server and bartender, whom are ill-prepared to serve this classic cocktail, due to lack of the required “pearl onions”. 🙂

GINORMOUS TREES. Because even though he is technically “blind”, and walks with a walking stick, while strolling together through downtown Southport, NC, in the middle of your yammering on about something-or-other…he is able to STOP you.

In your tracks.

And advise you to…”Check out this tree!! Can you believe how big the trunk is???”

And as I look up, I notice the tree, with its dramatically large trunk, and MASSIVE branches, which extend on….

FOREVER…..

Yet the tree remains quiet, still…SIMPLE.

And even in his blindness …he is still able to “see”, and appreciate, the simplest of pleasures that LIFE….has to offer.

And he reminds me, you, US...that for the most part..

LIFE.

IS.

SIMPLE.

But unfortunately, we tend to “jam” it up with drama, and passion-fueled-over-stimulated-attention-deficient…

NONSENSE.

And while I do not want to lose this drama-fueled passion…for LIFE!!

Perhaps….PERHAPS…I can arrive at a comprise, an exquisite combination of the two, and discover a….

“Passionately Simple” LOVE..for…

THIS.LIFE.

And here’s hoping that YOU TOO..my beloved reader..might find yo’ self an appreciation for:

1. A HIGH TOP, to share with a magnificent person, even if that person is ..Yo’Self 🙂
2. A ginormous tree, to STOP you in your tracks, and remind you to recognize..
3. The simplicity.of.LIFE.  Exquisitely combined with your your dramatically-overstimulated PASSION.for.LIFE. 

Just as that GINORMOUS tree is capable of being both..

DRAMATIC…

AND…

SIMPLE….

ALL.AT.ONCE.
