Tonight I a am grateful for 3 things:
1. Ellen DeGeneres “Game of Games”.
because as I hear it in the background, I just learned that we..as humans…share 50%..
yes…50!! %!!
of our DNA…
with…BANANAS.
YES..bananas.
2. BANANAS…
WHY? Because they are RIDICULOUS. And the banana peel has so often offered comical relief when the unassuming/unaware patron SLIPS…and demonstrates a rather dramatic fall on said banana peal…in order to illicit a laugh from an onlooker or audience.
HOWEVER….I for one have never actually slipped on a banana peel. Don’t get me wrong, as I have certainly “slipped” on many other thing..But not a banana peel..have you???
Buy it does offer us a reminder that…
LIFE.IS.RIDICULOUS.
As well as…..
UNPREDICTABLE.
And even if we think we got all our SH&T together….
We can be strolling along, head held high, confident, sure, proud, thinking all is well with the wor..
**SLAM**
We slip…
on a damn..
BANANA PEEL.
And perhaps this offers a reminder that no matter how hard I/you/WE try..we CANNOT control ..everything.
And sometimes no matter what you do..
you will still SLIP.
And maybe this also offers a reminder to I/you/WE…
That we shouldn’t take life….
SO.DAMN.SERIOUSLY.
3. YOU – Dear reader.
For your loyalty, and hanging in there as you continue to read through…
this crap 🙂
Because without your devotion and support, I am not sure if I would have a reason to continue to share the ridiculousness that rolls around in this noggin of mine.
Because all I have ever wanted to do was offer some semblance of HOPE..
or inspiration..
especially in the darkest of hours..
so you know that you are NOT ALONE in your struggles.
I struggle too.
And I’m hoping that you know that even if you do..in fact…
slip on that damn banana peel…
I will be there to offer a hand to help you up.
But NOT without LAUGHING MY A$$ off..
